Drastic DS Emulator Input Issue (after opening menu)

In Mario Kart DS, pressing up or down on the dpad will sometimes send 2 inputs instead of 1
In Mario and Sonic at the olympic games, sometimes pressing up or down just does nothing

Has anyone else experienced this? Specifically it seems to happen after opening the drastic menu, then closing it again (for me mapped to Menu+X).

I have. I find pressing X a few times fixes this.

It doesn’t seem to happen if you close the menu using Menu+X. If you close it any other way (pressing b or selecting resume game) then it happens.
