I’ve noticed lately that when I close my system while playing a PS1 game specifically that when I turn the device back on it just shows a black screen and never boots or shows the splash screen. No other system does this. I’ve not made any changes to the core options (PCSX Rearmed). It requires me to use the reset button and I’m afraid of it corrupting my auto saves. It also leads to the system reporting wrong time played (3 days as opposed to 4 hours, so I think it may be freezing longer than it seems)
Actually just now it froze completely on boot up and I had to use the restart button. So, not entirely sure what’s going on there.
It could be a problem with your microSD, or configuration. If you have a spare microSD card, do a full flash of the Golden Goose and try running some PS1 games. If it works, then it´s either a configuration issue, where you could try to reset Retroarch setting from the Task Toolkit menu, or there is something wrong with your original micro SD card.
