SNES games blackscreen on any SNES core even with a 100% fresh install RG40XXV

I just did a clean flash and SNES games refuse to do anything other than black screen. Previously they had worked, and they worked on the RG40XXV I just got my friend. Idk what to do.

Every other system and port seems to work, however, which makes the issue even more confusing.

How do you launch them?
I have RG40XXV and just installed Canada Goose. I don’t have such issue with retroarch.

I launch them the same way I do everything else. I go to the content section, go to the folder that I have labeled in the roms folder as “snes” and pick a game. It auto configures it with a SNES core, and the core loads, but the game does not. Even if I change the core.

I’m going to flash the device with stock OS to see if it’s some insanely niche hardware issue.

SNES content working fine here on 28H, 40H, 40V, and CUBEXX using default settings.

Yeah, it has to be some niche hardware problem with the device or my sd card.

Ensure that you are not using headerless content. From my understanding LibRetro cores require headered content.

So the thing is, the same roms used to work on both Stock and MuOS. It sounds like a fake issue, I know, but I am certain that it has to be something other than the roms. I even tried the roms that Anbernic shipped it with.

I just re-flashed with Stock OS about 10 minutes ago, and still only SNES games refuse to launch, including the ones Anbernic sent the device with.

If you can send through some SHA256 calculations of some content I’d be interested to see if they match general content availability.

Use something like the following,

Literally all my SNES games just started working again on Stock OS. The very same ones I just checked. I don’t know what the hell is going on. I am going to RE-re-flash with MuOS and see if it still works. Even if it doesn’t, this inconsistent behavior is not conducive to testing, and I’m kinda done worrying about it. I’m going to consider this “solved”. Apologies for wasting your time.
