28XX Pixie Screenshot Bug

  • OS: Pixie 2502.0 (7c4e6a8)
  • Modifications: taped the shoulder buttons for less rattle

Issue:
Somewhere in the screenshot process, something seems to be going wrong. They come up rotated and duplicated. I assume maybe it has something to do with the nature of the 28xx screen being originally vertical, but rotated to be used horizontally.

Issue is present in game screenshots and in out of game OS screenshots.

Flashed back to AW Banana with same SD card and screenshots look fine.

OS Image was originally torrented and flashed with Raspberry Pi imager, SD card was tested with F3 before usage.

Steps to Replicate:
I’ve re-downloaded the image via GoFile direct download, deleted SD card partitions with GParted, formatted SD card with SD Association Formatting tool, and re-flashed with RPi Imager - issue persists
Did steps above with another SD card - issue persists
All testing is with only SD1, SD2 slot was left empty.

I figure if I care enough about screenshots I should stay on AW Banana, but I haven’t seen anyone else have this issue or post about this.

Very interesting.
I know this was happening early on and thought I’d fixed it.
It’s because the screenshot takes a dump directly from the framebuffer (which is rotated) and we then rotate them correctly.

I’ll take a look and see what’s going on.
