An issue with the N64 emulator Mupen64Plus Standalone (Rice)

I’m running 2508.3 Golden Goose and have an issue with the N64 emulator Mupen64Plus Standalone (Rice). For me it’s the best N64 option most games run great but I have one problem: none of the hotkey combinations work at all. I can’t open RA, save, or load the game.

Maybe I overlooked some detail. Is there any known solution for this, or is Rice simply not supporting hotkeys?

The key is that it is not a RA core, so you obviously won’t be able to access the retroarch menu or use retroarch hotkeys.

As you rightly said, it is a standalone emulator, so it has it’s own configuration and settings. Most are changed through a config file iirc for that standalone emulator.

Fortunately, you should be able to find most of the default hotkeys on the muOS website here: Nintendo 64 | MustardOS

Thanks for the reply! I checked the hotkeys listed on the MUOS site for N64 and i see that I hadn’t actually tested if they work. Turns out they do! There’s no on-screen message when you press them, so I didn’t realize at first. I tried Save and Load and both worked fine.

Case closed  Thanks again!
