Has anyone been able to get the Atari Jaguar to run a game without audio crackling issues? I’ve tried changing the system governor’s but nothing seems to work
Just gonna throw out there that not all of the “retro systems” are emulated well. Old hardware does not automatically mean a more powerful chip can emulate it flawlessly as there are also other factors like the architecture used and other things which make perfect emulation hard. Atari Jaguar is one such of these systems (along with Sega Saturn, 3DO, and N64). Even emulators on big beefy PCs can run into issues emulating some of these platforms.
That being said if anyone has any tips or advice for making Jaguar (and other systems) run smoother I’d like to know as well
I haven’t been able to get any Jaguar games to run at anything resembling full speed.
Thanks for letting me know! Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t the idiot lol
Find an alternative system that has the same game
What you have stated hits the nail on the head though, not all systems are going to have perfect emulation. It takes a whole lot of work and development time for emulation to happen and unfortunately Jaguar is one of those systems that have been left behind.
It wasn’t a popular system to begin with so it’s safe to say the emulation scene for the Jaguar isn’t going to be the same as say the PlayStation or the Gameboy Advance.
Okay! Thanks for the help!
