Backup restore after new Install failing on Trimui Brick

Hi,

I created a full backup on my Trimui Brick. The file is 12 gig with a large amount of scraped images. After doing a fresh install of Jacaranda and reimporting my roms i had 200gig on my 512GB SD Card left empty. Now i tried to restore the backup file, which failed on the cheats folder.
At first it re-imported alphabetically:
application
bios
catalogue
On Cheats i had my first crash with the message:
Error: Not enough free space on ‘cheats’ Need 15206067791 bytes, have 4687458304 bytes! Target: /opt/muos/share/emulator/retroarch/cheats
I don’t have any self imported cheats…

After that i created a test copy of the backup file, removed application, bios, catalogue and cheats folder.
The collection folder worked again, then it stopped on config and then again after some more deletion it stopped at overrides.

I also tried enable Retroarch config mode.

Please install the following via the Archive Manager. No need to reboot.

File Deleted

Let me know if that fixes the issue.

Hi, i applied the fix and now i get this error:
Scanning Archive Directories…
/opt/muos/script/mux/extract.sh. line25: ARCHIVE_LIST_CACHE: parameter not set
Correcting Permissions…

Sync Filesystem

All Done!

Okay, try this one. Might help if I had placed the function in the correct script.

File Deleted

Hm, i don’t get an error anymore but it does nothing… Does the process scan if some of the folders are already extracted? Because i deleted all the folders that did not work from the backup and step by step extracted all the working ones. (Saves, catalogue etc.)
I now have 3 backup files on my brick, one with everything, one with everything besides the catalogue and one with only the saves and overrides.
All of them the process starts with your fix 2:
Inspecting Archive
Scanning Archive Directories
correcting permissions
sync filesystem
all done

Okay no worries. Try the following.

File Deleted

It makes it difficult to process as I do not have a large archive.

Edit: Hold up, sometimes awk really fucking hates me…

Okay, let’s give this one a whirl.

File Deleted

Now the re-import works. I get a lot of “skipping unsupported archive” messages, but most of them are systems i don’t have roms for. Is there any log i can provide or is this normal?

We are getting closer, so that’s a good sign.

Try this one now…

File Deleted

All went through but i got an error message again with the override folder:

Not enough free space on ‘override’
Need 67108864 bytes, have 0 bytes!
Target: /opt/muos/share/info/override

Sync Filesystem
All Done!

I would check to make sure that somewhere along the way items were not extracted to the internal partition.

If at all possible I would reflash, install the above archive, and then try again. If you get the same message we can investigate further.

Puh, i will try this with another sd card later. But i can assure you, my internal partition says that it has 3.47 gb from / 7.79gb free

Okay, no worries. Let me look into a bit more and see what I can find out. Give me a few moments.

Okay, found out that override archive script was pointing to the wrong path in this instance.

Please try the following…

File Deleted

Okay, lucky number 7. This adds a small modification that if the directory in question does not exist, we’ll traverse backwards. Just so we can get a valid free space marker.

Marking as resolved. If issues arise upon next 2601.1 update please resubmit.
