Figure I’ll try 1 more time. This will be the 5th post:
The save issue is still ongoing. I tried them in drastic, drastic legacy and file and nothing worked. I was trying GBA and PS1 specifically. I used mGBA and duckstation previously so I set it to that again in Pixie and it still didn’t work.
I changed the directory while switching the location and nothing.
I saw some other posts and even tried the “restore RetroArch configs” and “restore RetroArch overrides” scripts in the task toolkit. Didn’t work either.
I know the states won’t transfer over, it’s the saves I’m worried about lol
The saves are located in SD2 and I have them backed up on my PC as well
Update I tried to change configurations but now overrides won’t let me save configuration. Trying to figure that out as well*
You should confirm you can see your save files on either SD card in this location: MUOS/save
The system will use the first folder it finds for systems that save in that folder. This means it will use SD2 first, then SD1 if it finds it. If you’re looking on the console itself, these folders will be in these paths:
SD1: /mnt/mmc/MUOS/save
SD2: /mnt/sdcard/MUOS/save
As a sanity check, move the files to your computer, load up an emulator, and make sure they work and are the saves you’re looking for. If you didn’t back up your saves, and they were on SD1, when you moved to Pixie you deleted them when updating. If this is the case, I would make sure to back up your files before updating versions of muOS. You can do this either using an SD card reader or the backup scripts in the Task Toolkit.
It’s been months. T_T
Thank You for the help. I can finally continue the games I was playing.
Now I’m pretty sure I saved a game of the specific emulator, checked where it was located, then copy pasted the previous save. Yet this time it worked.
