Can't resolve domains after dns changes on my local network and tailscale network

I have a pihole on my tailnet that serves DNS to everything else on it. I had to rebuild it yesterday after the SD card failed, and I had to remove and readd the machine and update my tailscale dns settings. the dns ip address on my local router also had to change as DHCP gave it a new default IP.

After all these changes, my device can’t access retroachievements (or any domain for that matter, as I tried pinging google.com when SSH’d in and that also failed). Is there a way to debug dns issues to figure out what’s going on, or to clear cached dns settings? dig and ifconfig aren’t available for more debugging, and i’m not an expert on other possible network management tools that may exist. I’m running patch 2 of Pixie so i’ve the most up to date public release already, and I’ve also tried disabling tailscale with no improvement.

Thanks!

Hm, pinging domains works now including retroachievements.org but retroarch still doesnt get a response from them, maybe its just a matter of waiting for whatever caches to expire there too.

Closing this one off as it’s apparent to be a local issue. No DNS issues on current or testing version of muOS as I’ve tested.
