Failed Boot after charging RG35XXSP

Hey everyone. Just wanted to share an issue I ran into with my RG35XXSP in case it helps someone else.

After a full charge, the device refused to boot back into MuOS. It would show the MuOS logo, the power LED lit up, the screen dimmed to whatever level I had set before shutting down, and then everything powered off. Screen off, LED off, no boot.

I saw a few people mention a similar problem with the Pixie version of MuOS, but it seems like the bug can still show up under certain conditions. In my case, the only thing that fixed it was reflashing the OS. Thankfully, all my main settings were on SD2, so I only had a couple of things to reconfigure afterwards.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think this was an SD card or hardware issue. I swapped the original Anbernic SD card back in, and the device booted the stock OS without any trouble. I’m using two brand-new SanDisk microSD cards in SD1 and SD2, so they shouldn’t be the culprit.

Figured I’d post this in case anyone else hits the same wall. If your RG35XXSP won’t boot after charging, a reflash might save you some headache. If anyone has more insight into what triggers this behaviour, I’d love to hear it.

Same exact thing happened to me after updating to Loose Goose on 34XXSP.

SanDisk card. Rufus checked the card and found no errors. Reflash hasn’t helped so far.

Ah, I was recommended on Discord to boot with charger in.

Just so you are aware, and assuming you were booting with the charging cable plugged in… you did press the START button correct?

The charging screen for the H700 devices was changed from POWER to START as per the hotkey information.
