Gbasp grid overlay is not working correctly

When using the GBA SP Grid overlay, the overlay overlaps the bottom of the game; the game should move vertically upwards for everything to display correctly.

Any idea of how to fix this?

You need to manually scale the screen. Go to settings, video, scaling, and decrease the Viewport Anchor Bias Y.
