Would it be possible to add something to identify whether an archive has been installed or not? In the default theme, there is an icon with a checkmark. This way, it is not clear whether someone has already installed a package or not, especially in the case of backups.
It was the theme creators preference to hide the icons. You can modify the theme to your liking through theme overrides though.
Copy this file /MUOS/theme/active/640x480/scheme/muxassign.ini to your theme override directory /MUOS/theme/override/ and rename it to muxarchive.ini

I’m not sure what you mean. We have a default set of icons that we include with muOS. They can be overridden by the current theme. you would add the images here:
/MUOS/theme/active/glyph/muxarchive/archive.png
/MUOS/theme/active/glyph/muxarchive/installed.png
