I’ve just updated my RG40XXV from Pixie to Silly Goose, and now I’m having an issue with HDMI audio.
The video output works perfectly on the TV, but the sound still comes out of the handheld’s speakers instead of the TV.
Anyone else having the same problem or found a workaround?
I just tested my RG40XXV running SillyGoose and it worked fine for me.
I plugged in the cable, rebooted the console, and my screen and sound are going through the HDMI.
edit: I changed my HDMI res to 720p and now have experienced the same thing. My audio came out over the handheld. I got it to go back through. I changed the HDMI audio setting to Internal and rebooted, sound was still on device. Then I changed back to External and rebooted again and the sound went back to the TV. Not sure, maybe it’s finicky?
Thanks for your help!
I just tested it as well — I tried switching between Internal and External audio a few times, but the sound still only comes out of the handheld.
Interestingly, I didn’t have this issue on Pixie, HDMI audio worked correctly there.
Are you using the Bluetooth app? Another user on discord said “I figured out what happened. Apparently, the Bluetooth app was messing with the audio output. I was able to switch between the internal and external audio sources from within the app.”
