I am setting up my RG Cubexx and I cannot figure out where to put overlay files so that I can access them in retroarch. I am trying to add 720x720 specific overlays. Jeltr0n and mugwomp93. I can find the overlay folder on my device but when sd card is in pc, I am not able to find that folder. Please help!
Overlays should be in /opt/muos/share/emulator/retroarch/overlays. I think it’s in the internal storage and not the sd card, that’s why you can’t find them in pc. You can put the overlay files in the sd card and then move them to the overlays folder using Dingux Commander.
You can also put the files anywhere on the SD card and navigate to that location when you are selecting your overlay in retroarch. The reason you can’t find that location is likely because you are not pressing ‘B’ enough times, you have to back out all the way to mmt/SDcard
Alternatively, you can put the overlays into a folder called overlays, zip the folder, and then change the file extension to .muxzip, and then place that file into the archive folder and install the archive via archive manager (apps) and it will appear alongside the muOS default overlays in the same directory.
