When selecting a system governor, there is no indication of the current governor in use.
It might be more user friendly to show which is in use in the same way that core assignments are shown (assigned to file/directory).

I agree that having a small note next to the current governor, similar to the core assigned would be useful.
However as is currently if any users are wondering how they can find the currently assigned governor, there is a way - you go to the core assign menu as normal by pressing select on a game within the content explore menu. Then press menu when the ‘assign governor’ option is highlighted. This will show the current assigned governor. You can actually do the same for the currently assigned core too
I’m supportive of this idea, but I can’t tell you how the implementation process would go.
You could have an icon on the left of the game title; as the governors already have their own icons. I agree with OP it would be useful, currently my gauge of which governor is enabled is based on how quickly my TrimUI Brick overheats
You can view the current governor for a game by pressing select then while on assign governor press the menu button
that’s extra clicking on my part
I am completely fine with that
