Hi everyone, this is my first contribution to muOS.
Itch.io is a popular platform for hosting a lot of homebrewed indie games geared towards retrohandhelds, from Gameboy, Gameboy Color, NES, and other ROM platforms.
This application allows you to easily explore, download and update games from there.
If you have an account, you can gain access to your bought games to easily redownload them.
The application was initially developed for NextUI CFW, and support for other CFWs such as muOS is in progress.
Let me know how it works under muOS. I’m happy to listen for feedback, particularly how the app interacts with the underlying system (ROM management). Currently only tested on TrimUI Smart Pro.

It’s a very interesting thing you have going. It’s definitely great to see more applications being made available for MustardOS but I have some qualms…
Directly downloading content to the device, particularly ROMs I guess, does sit in an area that everybody needs to approach carefully. That does not mean an itch.io client is inherently a problem, but we do have a responsibility to protect our MustardOS project and ensure that anything distributed or promoted through it operates within clear legal and safety boundaries. As for what people do outside of these boundaries is not up to us or for discussions.
As long as your application has appropriate safeguards in place, obtains content only through legitimate itch.io mechanisms, respects creators licensing and access restrictions, and does not encourage, facilitate, or provide mechanisms for copyright infringement or piracy, then there is no immediate objection to the concept and development.
That said, functionality involving direct content downloads will naturally receive a higher level of scrutiny. We’ll want to look carefully at how downloads are obtained, what content can be accessed, and what protections are in place to make sure the application cannot reasonably be used as a means of bypassing ownership, licensing, or other restrictions.
This is in absolutely no way shape or form intended to discourage the project, you, or whatever else. I just want to make the expectations and boundaries clear so that both yourself and the MustardOS project are appropriately protected.
