Java emulator for Muos

Is there any way or tutorial to install old Java games for Muos? Like FreeJ2ME maybe

J2me core is already available in muOS.
You just need to create any folder in ROMS and copy the .jar files into it and play.

However you can also upgrade to use the build from J2me-Plus here: Here
Copy the .muxzip file to the ARCHIVE folder in the sdcard, then install it using Applications/Archive manager.
It will overwrite the current core of muOS

And what are the differences from the stock core?
@xonglebongle Maybe it could be included in muOS for the ability to choose?

By the way, it works great :weary_cat:. I don’t know how it works on other devices, but on the RG40XX H everything is great, I haven’t even had to configure anything yet. The emulator just works out of the box. Of course, it’s worth testing further, but I would really like it to be part of muOS.

The most important thing is to choose games with a resolution of 320x240 :index_pointing_up:

Which games have you gotten to work? Everything I’ve ever tried just crashes the whole system at game launch.

In short, not all games work, and they must be 320x240 or 240x320 (depending on the game).
I usually download all versions in these resolutions at once and test which one works. I get the JAR files from Phonekeys and Dedomil.
I currently have the following in my collection:

  • Crazy Hospital (HandyGames)
  • Dynamite Fishing 2 (HandyGames)
  • Farm Invasion USA (HandyGames)
  • Gish Reloaded (Pixalon Studios)
  • Rollercoaster Revolution 99 Tracks (Digital Chocolate)
  • ShadoWalker (Glu Mobile)

It usually happens with sd2.
Maybe there is some conflict in sd2 (j2me save, config,…).
You can remove sd2, reinstall J2ME and try again.
If successful, format sd2 and copy the game again.

Hello, I’ve tried Dr Frankenstein Adventures (320x240) and it’s hanging after start. Even if I update core with package J2me-Plus.

With some old fw when j2me support was add to muos it was working..

Any ideas?
