Ahoy @everyone! One last hurrah before the years end.

Next year we will be focusing on our Jacaranda release which of course has no set release date. However getting back to Loose Goose for a moment, there are a number of absolutely wacky bug fixes including the 40H/V device display shenanigans, which of course thankfully didn’t have to be split images! (phew!)

We have some awesome configuration and interface additions for you to all explore, reverse name search capability, critical performance updates, RetroArch and core updates, audio and network subsystem updates… oh boy I could go on!

Let’s find out what we can improve upon for next year. Who knows, we could support additional devices. However, as this is all done as a hobby and most of us have limited time, we are always open to those who are interested in helping us with support for additional devices.

  • Please ensure that you have backups of your content
    • MustardOS, and the developers, and contributors, are NOT liable of ANY loss of data through updating or reflashing
  • If reflashing, backup and remove any themes or RetroArch configurations placed on SD2

Additional Notes

  • The update archive package applies only to the following previous releases:
    • 2508.1 Canada Goose
    • 2508.2 Silly Goose
    • 2508.3 Golden Goose
  • There is an option to download the full image if you so desire!

Version Change

To confirm the change you should see a55cdbe8 as the build ID in system details.

Update Archive Information

  • Make sure that your device is actively being charged before installing!
    • Or at least has at least 80% battery…
  • The update archive is only for devices that on the following release as stated above:
    • 2508.1 Canada Goose with a Build ID of 140226a2
    • 2508.2 Silly Goose with a Build ID of 377d3471
    • 2508.3 Golden Goose with a Build ID of 4f83d826
  • Place it inside ARCHIVE on SD1 or SD2 and install using the Archive Manager
  • Installing the update archive will automatically reboot your device!
