I have a FDS ROM folder and placed all the boxarts in the folder.
I can’t see the system icon and the ROM boxarts.
I’ve tried to rename the folders but didn’t work.
Any idea?

Your folder structure MUOS/info/catalogue/folder/box
Try doing this instead:
Muos/info/catalogue/Nintendo FDS/box
Paste your ROM box arts inside the “box” folder
What I’m seeing here is all your system arts are placed in one folder and the box folder is not for the system art. Not sure if that’s how your folders are really structured but you can try this.
Actually i have it already like that for the roms. On the picture you can see the folder for the system icons. All other system icons are visible.
If you want the system icons to show, create an assets.muxzip instead and place it inside the archive folder then go to the archive manager and install it there.
This is how you do it:
Create these folders
catalogue/Folder/box
Place all your system icons inside the box folder. Make sure all the names are correct.
After that, compress it and name it “assets” it will be automatically compressed into a zip file. Now rename it again to .muxzip and now you’ll have assets.muxzip.
Transfer your assets.muxzip to your Anbernic device and place it in sd1’s archive folder. Exit the dingux file manager and go to applications/archive manager. You should see assets there. Install it and now you should see the system icons.
I can see all icons except the FDS one…
I don’t really use FDS so I’m not sure what’s the correct file name. Try Nintendo - Famicon Disk System
You have to put them in the NES folder. The FDS folder doesn’t work.
Annoying, I know.
I guess I have to do the same..
One last question: Why the OS is able to translate FC to “Nintendo - Famicom” but not MS to “Master System”?
I haven’t delved into rom box arts rabbit hole, but for the system icons they just need to match the rom folder name.
In MUOS/info/name/folder.json, folder named “SMS” is transcribed to “SEGA Master System”.
I believe you can edit this file to change however the frontend displays “Friendly Folder Names”.
I hope this is what you mean.
FDS use the same name.json with Famicom and Nes folder… set the core to Nintendo Nes-Famicom for working… and put your box art in this folder too on Catalogue/Folder/Nintendo Nes-Famicom/box
Thanks that helped for the icon
I’ve tried to copy the FDS boxarts to the news folder but it didn’t work
In Nintendo Nes-Famicom folder and have u set the core right ?
Yes. Sorry for the Typo.
The core seems to be the same. Fceumm.
Now i dont know, for me FDS have the same core with Famicom et Nes and all box art are on Nintendo Nes-Famicom… or if you have a Nintendo FDS folder on core setting, test with that and but box art on Nintendo FDS folder in muos-catalogue folder…
