Currently if you hold L2 and press X to delete a screenshot or remove a game from favourites it doesn’t register if you press too quickly, it also doesn’t register if you just keep holding L2 and press X multiple times to remove multiple items. I would appreciate if there was an option to just disable this “hold L2 to confirm” feature. Also on the topic of the screenshot viewer, I’m curious why the option to view RetroArch specific screenshots is off table?

I would agree, we don’t want an accidentally deleting our stuff or we can have a dialog to confirm removal like “Are you sure?”. Let’s hear what the devs has to say regarding this.
This is already implemented in Andromeda.
