Performance issues on RG34XX

Version: 2502.0 Patch-1

Issue: I’m having significantly worse performance on muOS on my RG34XX compared to other Anbernic XX devices. When playing GBA, I have frequent stuttering regardless of the core I use and fast forwarding only increases the FPS by about 5. This is happening on a fresh flash and I have tried mGBA, mGBA-rumble, and gbSP cores.

Additionally, I have occasional popping from the speaker when WiFi is connected, but that may be just an issue with the hardware.

Performance is on par on my 34xx, 35xxH and 40xxH on pixie.

I would check the hash of the muOS image you downloaded for the 34xx to be sure it was not corrupted and a re-flash. If possible with another mSD card to rule that out.

Also, if this is the pixie version prior to the patch, be sure to remove the gba bios that came bundled with it. If you have two sd cards be sure to check sd2 for /muos/bios as you may have moved bios to sd2 in the storage options and a fresh flash would not erase/replace that file automatically.

As mentioned in the Discord server, OP has managed to find one method of fixing the GBA side of things via switching to the Performance governor.
