Persistent Wi-Fi issues RG35XXSP

Clear RG35XXSP has had persistent wifi issues on every version of MuOS I’ve used since Banana. I recently refreshed MuOS Pixie and then updated to MuOS Pixie Patch 2 per the instructions I found here. The issue still persists after I applied the patch.

In the past, I would go to scan for wifi networks, it would scan for a long time, and then show “no Wifi networks found.” After several reboots and voodoo rituals, I was sometimes able to get the WiFi networks to appear. But now, choosing “Scan for networks” instantly fails to the “no wifi networks available” message. There is no scan time: I click the button, see the scan animation loop 1 time, and then immediately get the No WiFi networks available.

This happens at my apartment and my parents’ house.

If it’s helpful, I discovered a clue: Before I updated to the latest patch, hitting the reset button (I know, naughty!) sometimes triggers the wifi network to automatically connect on boot, or at least show the list of available networks. That’s essentially the only variable I can think of. Safe rebooting does not fix the issue.

here is an iCloud link with video of the issue described.

Have you tried enabling the “Hidden network?” But I doubt it’s hidden though. I have issues with the WiFi but not like this one.

I found a workaround. If you navigate to Apps > Task Toolkit and toggle ethernet on and off, it will bring up the list of wifi networks sometimes. Though it will hang when trying to connect at times.
