Problem with using glslp for shader presets repost (i deleted the last one)

I got a problem with setting up shader presets. Specifically Mugwomp93’s 720x720 shaders and overlays for the RGcubeXX.

The problem i am having is that whenever i need to apply a shader preset, its not finding the .glslp files. and i am kinda stumped on what to do now. it looks like i am the only one with this problem, i cannot find any information to what i am doing wrong

a few things to note is that.

1: the consensus is that the video output needs to be gl, otherwise the glslp files wil not be found. i have checked this but the that option is already set to gl.

2: i can find glslp files when i browse the standard map (the one where you start in if you look for presets).

as information:

i am running 2601.0 Jacaranda (muOS)

i copied the files on a random place on my sd2 card (i dont think the files need to be in a specific folder right?)

i also cannot find glsl files (but i do find the “standard” preinstalled glsl files)

when i am trying to use the preset, i go into a game (wario land 1). i go to: Quick Menu>Shaders>Load Preset, and then try to find the specific file (GB_Pocket.glslp in my case)

i hope people here know what to do, i love to play my games with shaders. but i can never seem to get the dmg right.

i have posted this to reddit as wel, i am hoping a muOS specific forum has more info, i hope you guys can help

That’s a retroarch bug/quirk.
It won’t read shader presets or shaders if the /shaders folder isn’t inside a retroarch folder.
You can create a /retroarch/shaders folder and move your shaders there, then it should work.

A more clean approach is creating archives to install the shaders and overlays in the internal retroarch directory.

Just get your /shaders folder(needs to be named shaders) and zip it to shaders.zip, the same for /overlays to a zip file named overlays.zip. Then rename the extension from .zip to .muxzip.

Then grab your your newly created muxzip archives, move them to the ARCHIVE folder, either on the root of sd1 or sd2, it does not matter which, and then in muOS go to applications>archive manager and install both archives.

Now those shader presets and overlays will be available within the regular retroarch overlays and shaders folders.
