Normally RetroAchievements needs an internet connection to track and unlock achievements. RAOfflineProxy makes it possible to keep earning them completely offline. It runs quietly in the background, remembers your games’ achievement data, and queues up any unlocks earned while offline. As soon as the device is back online, everything syncs to RetroAchievements automatically, so handheld gaming on the go no longer means missing out on achievements.
On muOS it works just like it does on KNULLI, with nothing complicated to set up.
This is an early alpha release and hasn’t been through formal testing yet, so some rough edges are to be expected. Feedback and bug reports are welcome.
You don’t even know how many times I didn’t get the achievement, because wi-fi disconnected. This is a big QOL app and I love the idea. This is amazing, I’ll try it out tonight.
Adding games via “Smart Cache” worked for me. I wanted to manually add some games using the “Add ROM” option but it is searching for ROMS in “/mnt/mmc/ROMs”, which is on the SD1(mmc) sdcard. Is possible to add an option for SD2(sdcard)? This would be helpful for 2-sdcard users.
