I’ve seen SwanStation recommended as a more accurate PS1 core (BIOS required).
It seems to be quite near the performance limitations of these devices though. Despite using the performance governor, I still got audio crackle in some parts of some games with it. I’m lazy and can’t be bothered switching cores on a per-game basis, so went back to PCSX-ReARMed for everything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Probably worth looking at if you’re a stickler for accuracy though!
One I’ve come across, blueMSX is very bad and should be avoided. Use fMSX (BIOS required) instead.
