This generally indicates some filesystem issue with your SD1.
The fix is to reflash SD1.
Most often this happens if you use the reset button.
Yeah I figured something like that had happened but my handheld froze so there was no option but to hit that nuclear reset button, surely there’s a fix or something that could stop this from happening, not sure if it does this on stock or even knulli, never used them firmwares
Data corruption can happen with any OS when you use the reset button.
It is physically cutting power to the whole system.
It doesn’t let the system safely shutdown.
Pretty much like a normal pc then, essentially this is a mini Linux computer, but can’t understand why anbernic would design something that breaks the OS file system, makes no sense, does it?
If it locks up on me again is there an alternative way to reset the device without corrupting the OS?
Yes the first thing to try is the safe restart or shutdown key combo.
That is L2+R2+Start for restart, or L2+R2+Select for shutdown.
If that doesn’t work, then the system is completely locked up and the reset button is likely the only way.
As for it making sense, most computers ( desktops anyway ) have a reset button that does the same basic thing.
They just tend to be harder to hit and in a less convenient place.
In my opinion it should be a pinhole that requires something to hit, but that isn’t the design Anbernic went with for whatever reason.
