Hello! I’ve ran into some issues with RetroArch, like any core would refuse to do savestate (gives this core doesn’t support savestates prompt). Than I tried to do restore RetroArch config through task toolkit. It is prompts that there’s no RetroArch.default.cfg and now I have blank cfg so I can’t even navigate through ra menu as the controls isn’t mapped. I’ve tried reflash sd1 as I have 2 cards setup but it have no effect and the problem is still present. Could someone please lend me default cfg? I don’t wanna to restart full setup of 2 cards
Reflashing SD1 or resetting the retroarch config won’t fix your issue, as it seems your retroarch config (which is stored on SD2) has become corrupted.
muOS always reads from SD2 if there are the files present on SD2. You can try booting the console without SD2 inserted at all, so muOS will read from SD1 (which you freshly reset by using the task toolkit). If the system functions normally without SD2, then it is indeed due to a corrupted retroarch config on SD2.
You will need to manually delete this configuration from SD2 and then it should work fine, as muOS will now read from SD1.
Another option is to backup only saves and roms, and other important files such as artwork from SD2 onto your computer, and then format SD2 to exFAT using the SDformatter tool, and then copy your save, roms and artwork only back onto SD2. This will remove any other corrupted retroarch files from SD2 and your device will read them from SD1 instead.
You can also find the default retroarch config on SD1 after you have performed the reset retroarch config via task toolkit, so there is no need for someone to send you another default retroarch config.
Hope this helps.
Thank you! That helped me, but savestates aren’t working just like before… I tried different cores and all of them reports that savestates unsupported. Is there anything to try? Migrated save location to sd1 and 2 and still…
