What is Rockbox?
Rockbox is a free, open-source firmware replacement for digital audio players (DAPs), offering an alternative to the original operating system. It’s designed to be highly customizable, with features like advanced equalizers, themes, and support for various file formats.
Note:
You will need to setIdle Input Display Timeout
setting on muOS toDisabled
, otherwise audio will turn off after 2 minutes.
Install
- Download latest
Rockbox.muxapp
here. - Copy
Rockbox.muxapp
toSD1 (mmc)/ARCHIVE
. - Go to
Applications
and launchArchive Manager
. - Select
[SD1-APP] Rockbox
and let it extract. - Exit and you should see
Rockbox
inApplications
.
