Sega CD won't launch?

Edit: It was a BIOS issue. No idea why/what. I copied my main BIOS (U) file and changed the name to the 9306 file (which I already had, so I renamed that just to keep it there). Why that fixed it, I have no idea!

Hey, this might be a ME problem. I’m not sure.

My Sega CD games are in CHD format, which is supported. I’ve got the correct bios file, and it’s in the main bios folder. Is there anything else I’m missing?

GX goes to black screen, makes a few noises, and the game never launches. It seems like a bios issue, but I have all three country versions of the Sega CD bios in the main bios folder.

Every other system runs fine…

I suggest check if you have correct bioses here (look at md5sum) Sega - MS/GG/MD/CD (Genesis Plus GX) - Libretro Docs

Thanks! I’ll give that a look! I was wondering if there was an official list somewhere of correct BIOSes.

Generally this is a reliable source of truth.

Hey thanks! Yes, that’s excellent. Although, does it list which are the required and proper BIOS files, or just which extensions are doable?
