Standalone Mame version?

As the title says, does anyone including the devs no what the standalone Mame version is please? Than you

There is no standalone mame included in muOS. All the ones we ship are Retroarch cores.

If you go into the select core for the arcade roms there’s one which just says Mame, but doesn’t give you what version of mame it is apart from ā€˜git’ this is the one I’m looking for the version so I can get the xml file to compile some roms for this, but without knowing the version then I’m unable to do this

That is mame 2015 I believe which would be 0.160

Though I will say, that there’s not really much point in getting a romset for it, it doesn’t run well at all.

Mame2003 is the last one that runs ā€œwellā€ and 2010 can be playable depending on the specific title.

2015 I didn’t have much luck even getting older games to be playable. It’s probably just too heavy for these devices.

Thank you, yeah 2010 version plays pretty well, some games do stutter unfortunately but like you said it’s probably down to the devices hardware and not the core. Finalburn neo is probably my goto core for arcade emulation. I just wanted a separate mame core which I was hoping would be the latest or close too as the roms I wanted to run has had some major changes and new rom dumps.

Think I’ll stick with mame 2003 or the plus version and Finalburn neo.

Thank you for your help.
