It would be cool to have an app that lets you sync game saves with a cloud service. I read that Google Drive doesn’t allow this via shell scripts because of browser authentication requirements. Maybe another service like Dropbox could work.++
you mean like syncthing?
An interface (As Dingux Commander or Bluetooth App) displaying two panels, one with the saves on the device and another, organized by date and/or platform on the remote location. Some controls for updating the saves to the cloud and downloading saves to the device, allowing control of saves from the exact dates.
Or even a text-based interface with options to sync saves on the device with those of cloud or upload your latest saves to the cloud.
A more practical way to do what we already do by storing online our saves in the cloud manually. Much more friendly than Symcthing and savegame oriented.
I agree this is a really cool feature, it feels so convenient to have a savegame or savestate on your PC and then pick it up again instantly on handheld, and vice versa.
muOS already supports Syncthing which allows you to do this. So good news, your feature request already exists and is working flawlessly!
You can run Syncthing on your own computer and it magically finds your devices as you connect them, and sync is done whenever they are online at the same time. You don’t need a third-party central storage server like Google or Dropbox, the sync is done directly between your systems.
If you don’t have an always-on computer and you want that, you can find various Syncthing providers online like Syncthing Cloud.
