Unblock erists.me in hosts

Found the following in the hosts file

# Fuck you cunts
127.0.0.1	erista.me

Exactly which and how application uses it that needs to be blocked in system? I have not seen other devices like computer and mobile devices do this. Does someone else want to have control over what the owner of the device can or can’t do?

=====================

I want to post something related to the different screen off issue post, but could not as it was closed and can not reply:

NOTE:

  • Mobile device does not mean only phone, but any portable devices with a chip. They have separate off switch. Different function for short (sleep), and long press (off).
  • I don’t believe long press to turn off screen is “heaven forbid dare to be different” (it’s just a handheld device not CERN antimatter factory), “powerful”, “flexible”.
  • Why not turn on screen is also made long press to stop “OOPS” and make reset button also same?
  • Devices have these “boring defaults” because they are intuitive and THAT IS POWERFUL. Where people don’t have to ask questions for simple things. They are simple things are default for a reason and not it’s not boring. Things should not be difficult just to be “different”, “don’t want to fit in”. Imagine each switch/lever/handle in home/work/car/plane works differently on every different homes/car/work/plane. For simple things that are supposed to just work. World will burn with causalities.
  • Default design for basic things have a reason. e.g. Previously we could just touch a button on car, feel it’s texture and change things in less time without looking in less time. Now cars have removed all buttons and we have to look at touchscreen, spending more time, going in out menus for basic functions. This is what happens by removing “boring defaults”, “dare to be different” “flexible”.
  • I know it’s free and developers work hard. I got rude (sorry) because I was trying to turn screen off (it does not work when both timeouts are same, why even have 2 confusing timeouts and not mention this), turn wifi off and wasted hours first time on a OS. Searching online could not find any answer. These design changes for simple operations are not powerful or flexible.

No, I am not changing this.

Cool, we don’t do that here.

Nobody is forcing you to use muOS.

The reset button is a hardware button and cannot be changed.

Cool, that’s nice.

Cool, good for them and you.

Again, nobody is forcing you to use muOS.
