Visual issue (RetroArch menu) when returning from standby

When the device returns from the standby when a game is open, the retroarch menu and the brightness overlay is seen for a brief moment. Could you add 0.5 sec time before turning on the display or another solution to avoid this? Thanks.

Could you clarify why this is an issue in practice?

The RetroArch menu and brightness overlay are elements that may briefly appear during the resume sequence. If this is causing a specific problem (e.g., visual artefacts, input interruption, or impact on gameplay), please provide additional details so we can better assess possible solutions.

Regarding the suggested 0.5 second delay before enabling the display, adding a fixed delay may affect overall wake responsiveness to the end user.

As it stands it is functionally working as it should.

There are no functionality issues, it’s just strange. I don’t recall seeing this in other versions of MUOS or other operating systems. It would be more elegant, “seamless”, so to speak, if it went straight to the game and didn’t flash elements beforehand.

If CHECK_RA_AND_SAVE "MENU_TOGGLE" is removed from suspend.sh, the issue is solved. What are the possible consequences?

Another thing that could change is that instead of saving the game when going into standby mode in the currently selected slot, it could save to the automatic slot. Or not save, because it’s already saved when RetroArch exits and shuts down.
