I use a rg40xxV and i was trying to add pokemon reborn and rejuvinationnon my sd card where the port fule was as instructed. I started with just keeping it as zip. Then installed on my device vie port master but it wasnt playing after booting. I them unzipped the files on the sd card and tried booting again, but then it just stayed black for awhile and i had to reset the device. I uninstalled the games cause i gave up but now i see this error when i boot up my console everytime. It still plays fine but im kinda a perfectionist and want to resolve what this is.
That message appears when you reset your console using the hard reset button on the right side of the device. This is not recommended, as it can corrupt data on your device, something that the message you’re getting implies.
Unfortunately, as far as I know the only way to “remove” that message is to reflash your card.
Next time your system is “frozen”, use the safe restart and safe shutdown hotkey :
- L2 + R2 + START to restart the device
- L2 + R2 + SELECT to shut down the device
If those still doesn’t work, then you need to use the hard reset button.
TL;DR :
- you need to reflash your SD card
- only use the hard reset button as a last resort
- prefer using the safe restart hotkey
Rosabel is right for the most part but I’ll add that this message is ok to ignore if you don’t want to flash, it’ll just be annoying. And I think there might be a change to hide this messaging in a future update (but I’m not 100% sure on that last point).
Indeed, when flashing the test patch, that message disappeared… Not that it means the issue is resolved tho
It’s worth noting this “Error” is a File system check and can absolutely be the result of a failing mSD card, always worth checking the health of the card in these circumstances as they can and will fail.
It worked. Thanks everyone
