Where have all the cheat folders gone?

Hey all,

I was told to try posting on here after posting on discord.

I have my own cheat files that I made for retroarch, but also have my own cheat packs for ppsspp and drastic. After flashing Canada Goose and running the installer and popped my sdcard back in like usual to drop my cheat files in. But the entire emulator folder is missing. I’ve been searching and reading, who the mention of the retroarch configuration freeze, but didn’t see anything about cheats or cheats for PPSSPP and drastic. Does anyone have any clues as to how I can add my cheats back?

Thanks!

I don’t have an answer for you, but am having the same issue and am responding to increase visibility. I saw your posts on the discord, but can only add that the psp cheats seem to be preloaded into the system (I know you have custom databases you’re trying to incorporate, but that should be better than nothing).

pretty sure the emulator directories were move to /opt/muos/share somewhere, your best bet would be to create an installable “cheats” archive following this: Manually creating installable archives

Edit: looking closer I’m not sure if ppsspp and drastic stuff was moved here, but its worth checking

Yeah that doesn’t say how to create archives at all. It just lists directories.

What are .archive files? Are they just zip files with a manually renamed extension?
Is there a script for creating them?

Perhaps I misspoke…
I meant, “What are MuOS’s archive files?”

But disregard that. I’ve read the documentation and understand its structure now.

Hi everyone. I’m in the same situation: I want to find the cheats folder so I can add my own cheat codes, but I can’t find the RetroArch folder anywhere on my SD card. (And for what it’s worth, I also can’t find any cheats in the RetroArch in-game menu when using the gpSP core.)

I’m pretty new to this custom OS and not familiar with technical stuff at all. Plus, English isn’t my native language, so I need a simple, “explain it like I’m five” kind of explanation, please. I understand that there’s a tweak that installs a folder that redirects to the original one, but I really don’t understand how to do that with installable archives. Could someone describe the procedure to me?

Or is there something obvious I’m missing? I searched everywhere for the RetroArch folder without any success. I thought the correct path was /opt/muos/share/emulator/retroarch/, but there’s no such directory on my cards…

Anyway, thanks!

I’ve located it via Dingux Commander and successfully transferred my files. Here is the path: /opt/muos/share/emulator/ppsspp/.config/ppsspp/PSP/Cheats
