Thanks I hope you would bring it back and also keep the current panscan feature. Also I forgot to mention last time , if I have too many photos or stuffs(I was testing), the apps crash during indexing , about 240-260 indexed then crashes. However, I am not sure this is maybe not an app issue rather the device, that can’t handle some high resolution photos during index? If I keep the file lower than 240 they index pretty easily in a sec, however if I use the files option from xmplayer then locate the photos folder manually (which wasn’t selected in media directories) that had the high res photos, that somehow works,I can check the photos a bit laggy sometimes but no problem usually. Also , thanks for this app you did a great job.
Just tried reproducing this issue with 350+ photos from my phone camera. Yeah, seems like a memory leak during thumbnail generation. The lag is mostly related to device’s hardware but crashing is on me

Gonna try this out when I can. Before I do though, I do have a small complaint: to me, the name sounds too similar to XMPlay, a music player for Windows. That still gets yearly updates (the newest version came out in December '25), so I feel like a name-change might be in order, just to avoid confusion from people trying to download an obscure music player, wondering why it won’t work on their PC after downloading the MUXAPP from GitHub.
Maybe I’m being a little cynical and/or paranoid, but you never know… 
I’ve always thought people would confuse this app with another media player called MXPlayer on Android Also, what if I told you that you can actually make this work on PC since it’s a Love2D app

Now i have some ideas to improve music player. It will be great to add shuffle and repeat buttons in player, not only when choosing a song to play. And maybe some simple way to add songs to playlits, because adding songs one by one is a bit too slow when there are like 100 songs.
Repeat one function is already here: press Y + Right on music player. Toggleable shuffle function is on my todo list.
For playlist management, yeah it’s a bit inefficient for large libraries, I’ll implement batch media management and search features in future releases. Thank you for using this app!
