It’ll pull the latest release, so you can update App Downloader with the help of App Downloader.
does it work for trimui brick?
The RomM app doesn’t seem to work. I just get a black screen when I try and launch it, and then it exits out.
How do i ensure that my device has Godot FRT Runtime 4.1.3? I was just looking at the Github page and wasnt sure about this step in the requirements.
Does not work on my RG34XX. When I try to install it via Archive Installer (latest MuOs), it says “unsupported format mnt” and “unsupported format opt”. Other tools like Rock Box or Scrappy work.
Hi @andersmmg, this is so cool!
I recently published my first app: Pocketstream, which is a lightweight Twitch client for browsing and watching live Twitch streams.
Take a look, and if you like it, I will be happy to have it included on the App Downloader.
Here’s the link to the GitHub repo.

This is also the case for me. Have you found any solution? I’d really like to get this up and running for direct to device app downloads.
I’m looking into updating it for the latest version, not sure how long it will take but hopefully soon!
Alright, it seems to be working for me, if anyone can test it and let me know if they have issues I’d appreciate it!
Hi. I managed to install on an RG34XX SP on Golden Goose but when launching, it crashes back to the OS Application menu.
Appears to work fine on my RGCubeXX
Why is it not installing on mine? I put it in the Archive folder.
Won’t let me install either, even after renaming to App_Downloader_v0.2.2.muxupd
I added it to the archive, and it now shows up in applications, but it won’t open. Just a black screen then back to teh applications menu
- RG40XXH
It seems you need to run PortMaster at least once, as the installer script leverages it. see if that helps.
IT WORKED, LET’S GOO. THX LEGEND <333
by the way for anyone abit impatient it’s a black screen for a few minutes till it works so be patient and dont reset ![]()
I tried that, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. I can see it in the app menu, but when I click on it, I get the black screen for around a second, then it just returns to the app menu.
Installation seems to be working as in it appears in the “Applications” list but I get a black screen as well on RG40XX-H.
One thing that might help though, during the extraction in the “Archive Manager” I see the following line in the output:
Skipping unsupported archive: opt
I think it might be a file layout or permission change with the new version or may be because I’m using an external sdcard for pretty much everything?
Also just went ahead and ran the mux_launch.sh via ssh, outputs the following errors:
no directory found at /mnt/mmc/MUOS/application/App
umount: /mnt/mmc/MUOS/PortMaster/libs/frt_4.1.3.squashfs: not mounted.
mount: /root/godot: /mnt/mmc/MUOS/PortMaster/libs/frt_4.1.3.squashfs is not a block device; try "-o loop".
dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.
./mux_launch.sh: line 68: frt_4.1.3: command not found
umount: /root/godot: not mounted.
/mnt/mmc/MUOS/PortMaster/funcs.txt: line 134: 14612 Killed $GPTOKEYB "$runtime" -c "./app_downloader.gptk"
I’m guessing it isn’t supposed to run over terminal anyway, but may be it’d give an idea.
im getting the same issue skipping unsupported archive /mnt and opt
Rename App_Downloader_v0.2.2.muxzip to App_Downloader_v0.2.2.muxupd, save it to the archive folder, and select it from the Archive Manager. This will allow you to install and launch the app without the “Skipping unsupported archive: opt” message appearing.
Tested on 2601.1 Funky Jacaranda(RG35XX-Pro)
