Well that sure is unfortunate! Here are a couple of things that you can consider looking at or trying.
Is the battery charged?
You’d be surprised at this. If your device shows the boot logo for a split second and then goes black and there is no green LED then chances are your battery needs a bit more juice.
Oops, wrong slot…
Ensure that the mSD card you flashed muOS to is in the primary (sometimes marked as TF1) slot of your device. If there is only a single slot on the device then we’ll have to try something else!
Verification and authenticity
One of the biggest things these days are fake cards, use tools like h2testw (Windows) or f3 (MacOS/Linux) to check if your mSD card has any issues. See Issues with mSD Cards for more information.
Pretty Rainbow Lines
If you see a white screen with vertical coloured lines then you have flashed the wrong image for your device. Quickly take the mSD card out and press reset to clear the screen. Leaving your screen on in this state may cause issues!. Reflash with the correct image for your device, insert it, then press the reset button twice.
Nothing else happens!
Oh dear, well sometimes if you start the device without a valid mSD card in can get stuck in a debugging mode (called FEL Mode). No worries!
- Make sure you have a working mSD card in the device.
- Then hold the power button down, press reset 3 times, let go of the power button.
- Plug in the USB cable for power just in case.
