Power on issue with RG35XXSP

This may just be a hardware issue, I’m not entirely sure. I have done all the troubleshooting steps in the pinned thread below.

I’ve noticed some inconsistency with the power button on my RG35XXSP. Sometimes it doesn’t want to power up at all. Usually this happens while the device is plugged in and fully charged.

Normally it resolves itself after fiddling with the power button, plugging/unplugging USB, or re-seating the SD card. I haven’t nailed down the root cause yet.

Have any other users have experienced a similar issue? I’m running Canada Goose.

Well that sure is unfortunate! Here are a couple of things that you can consider looking at or trying. Is the battery charged? You’d be surprised at this. If your device shows the boot logo for a split second and then goes black and there is no green LED then chances are your battery needs a bit more juice. It may be the SD card, I’m just using the one that came with the RG35XXSP. I don’t imagine they’re using Sandisk in these $50 devices heh. The problem only seems to happen when it’s plugged in and it’s sort of intermittent, so no big deal. I’ll post here if I discover any more clues.
