I faced the same issue recently: I created a new collection from the muOS UI, and was displayed an empty purple square as grid icon for this collection. The logic applied by the system to display Collections grid icons is explained in the MustardOS Themes Assets documentation.
Normally, in the catalogue, you should have one directory named Collection, next to the Folder and <Systems> directories. On my side, it is structured like this:
In order to spare time, I reused the existing Arcade system icon: I copied it from MUOS/info/catalogue/Folder/grid/Arcade.png to MUOS/info/catalogue/Collection/grid/Favoris.png. And now, instead of the empty purple square, the icon displayed for my Favoris collection is the Arcade system one.
I love your aurora thanks, it’s awesome, and I’m a graphic designer, love it. But I also love the console icons of one-two theme. Do you think it’s possible to have a way to choose thoses icon in aurora, as an option? (or is there a hacky way to do that?) Thanks for your theme, it’s wonderfull.
If I remember correctly, there’s a way to load up the grid arts from another theme if they’re packaged in a certain way. You may ask @bulkh for an assets.muxzip.
I’ll get a Retroid Pocket Classic… For now it just looks (and sounds - might need to do a tape mod) like a RG40XX V without a useless stick and with Android. But I gotta try it
Weird, so I’m using Canada Goose with the latest version of this theme on my 34sp, but there still is no aleternate theme option. However, I’m using the latest version of Pixie with the lastest theme version on my 40h, and the option is there.
the file extension for the alternates changed in Canada Goose. so either you’re not on the latest canada goose or you’re not on the latest theme. One of the two
if you browse to /muos/theme/active/alternate/ and the files in there have a .muxzip extension instead of .muxalt you’re on an older version of the theme.
if you got to Info -> System Details and it doesn’t say 2508.1 CANADA GOOSE you’re not on the latest muOS
Just checked and I’m on the lastest MuOS for sure. Regarding the theme version, I did re-download the theme, went into the theme alternate folder and the files are indeed muxzip extensions.
