As always, feel free to provide some feedback ! If you have trouble installing the theme or setting up Grid mode, feel free to ask directly in that thread.
Enjoy !

You don’t like that layout ?
If you don’t like the new layout (which is perfectly understandable btw), bear in mind that a theme using the old layout is available and actively maintained by the lovely @bulkh (thanks for all btw). Here are some links :
Before sending a message in this thread, please read the Troubleshooting guide right here.
If you have some custom box art that doesn’t fit with the theme, please check the guide here.
Why does the DMG theme boasts big grey bars on the main menu ?
Don’t panic, this is wanted. The goal with that esthetic choice was to make the main menu look like a Game Boy, with the scrollable menu being a screen, surrounded by a shell.
If you don’t like it, and prefer how it used to look, please shoot me a message
You can modify your existing post and add additional images.
Also, as I can appreciate the honesty… we’re not replacing Discord, just making sure the important stuff has a proper home that doesn’t vanish in the flood. It’s here to stay, and we’ve put real effort into making this forum worth your time.
Hello ! And thanks for the work you put in that translation !
A new version is in the works, with a lot of translations needed, I may need your help for that one
For those who wants a sneak peek, here’s a preview of the… 3RD VERSION of the theme ! 1. Now with noticeable differences, better stylistic choices, and a better looking volume bar
For those who aren’t aware, the “”“”“old”“”" layout will be maintained by @bulkh, it’s called OneTwo and… to be honest, I prefer it compared to what I’ve done it’s that good
Not sure how appropriate it is to ask, but I was wondering if I could modify AuroraRetro to put a background on the Content Explorer but have it not show up on the main menu (so I can’t use LIST_DEFAULT_BACKGROUND since it messes with the main menu, and I can’t use default.png because I want to use it for GIFs). Do you know of a way how I could do this?
EDIT: Chimps type better than me at this hour, fixed my grammar.
First of, a new layout and style is currently being developped, and should be released today-ish, the Aurora Retro theme will be replaced by Aurora DMG
Unfortunately, because of how muOS manages headers and footers, I need to use the wall folder (not the static folder) to store my frames, making hard to make any extra modifications
If you really want to change my theme despite all of those roadblocks, the base Figma file is available on the projet’s GitHub
