I tried to disallow RetroArch to show the little horizontal pop-up that appears when you start a game (That tells you what the game is and the core it’s running on). I disabled pop-up notifications and the other option that I thought I wanted to change, I also changed the color profile and size of the text for RetroArch.
At this point, it either froze immediately and I tried to reset it several times before it refused to turn on, or it operated fine before I shut it off, and that’s where the problems began. The Yellow charging light turns on, and my computer makes a noise when I plug it in via USB. When I put my ear to the device in total silence, I can hear a rough high-pitched whirring from the device–almost comparable to a hard-drive’s mechanical sound up 2 octaves.
If you have anything at all to contribute, please do. I created an account here solely for this issue.
Update 1: I unplugged the battery and plugged in the the USB-C charging, this caused it to boot. the screen was active on the boot-up screen, but after it finished the screen went black. the system was fully functional otherwise, I could hear the menu navigation sounds. From there its impossible to know where I am in the menu, and the sleep function works, but the resent button did nothing and neither did holding the power button (but I’m not entirely sure it did anything before).
